The design process was guided by two systems of criteria. The primarily the task was the functional design of a traffic structure. At the same time, the atmosphere of the passage and the avoidance of negative tunnel and underpass associations were given a prominent role. Instead of these, we tried to strengthen the concept of 'gate' within the possible geometric framework.
