Extension of II. Rákóczi Ferenc High School

In 2002, the Municipality of the district II of Budapest announced an invitational design competition for the reconstruction of the building. In our design competition that won the first prize, our goal was to design the organic continuation of the old building. We have kept the entire wing on the side of the street, preserving the architecturally and emotionally most important part of the building. The new wings are designed in the same construction situation with the appropriate orientation in each case. The installation reopens to the hillside on the north, and it flows into the open schoolyard.
